Rooted in Community: Signage for Cornubia

At Parc Signs, community engagement isn’t a slogan—it’s part of how we work. We believe in using our craft to contribute to the places we live and work in. So when the opportunity came up to support the team at Par Bay Community Trust, we didn’t hesitate.

Recently, we’ve been working closely with the endlessly energetic Sonia Clyne, the head honcho and powerhouse behind Cornubia, a community space in Par with real heart. From the very first meeting, it was clear this wasn’t just a building—it was a hub of ideas, passion, and people working together to make good things happen.

Making Space for Connection, Creativity and Care

Cornubia Hall itself is a vibrant, repurposed space offering everything from affordable coworking and creative workshops to wellbeing sessions and social gatherings. It’s home to a café, meeting rooms, artists’ studios, and events that reflect the diverse and inclusive spirit of the Par Bay area. As Par Bay’s themselves say, “Cornubia is here for everyone.” And we couldn’t agree more.

Across the road, the Par Bay Community Garden is an equally brilliant initiative—offering a green space for locals to grow, meet, and enjoy. It’s designed with inclusion in mind, featuring accessible paths, raised beds, and areas for both quiet reflection and social connection.

Our contribution may seem modest in the grand scheme of things, but we like to think it makes a difference. We’ve created and installed a range of signs for both the Hall and the Garden: from colourful, practical noticeboards to clearly marked parking bay signs, helping visitors and tenants navigate the site with ease.

Last week, our Simon who really does love this community hub, popped over to install a few more signs, this time some parking bay signs ensuring tenants can park easily outside the hub, and of course making sure everything is cohesive and clear.

Small Signs, Meaningful Impact

This kind of work sits right at the heart of what we value as an organisation. When signs support a space like Cornubia, they’re not just informational—they’re part of the experience. They welcome, guide, and reflect the values of the people who use the space every day.

Sonia and the PBCT team are constantly brimming with ideas and ambition, and it’s a joy to play a small part in helping those ideas take shape. Being involved in something so rooted in care, creativity, and community warms our heart—plain and simple.

We’re proud to support spaces that bring people together. If you’d like to learn more about the work of Par Bay Community Trust—or find out how to get involved—visit: Par Bay Community Trust website.
